I guess all of us were kinda curious during the Kerala Floods, if it caused some major marriage schedule mess ups. Well Minna and Rohin's were one such wedding. But before going into detail about the stars of the show here let's talk about how the show came into being yeah?
Minna and Rohin were always aware of each other's existence. That was mostly because Minna's best friend during school days ended up being Rohin's best friend during his college days. Of course, they had never met each other during those times. Soon enough, the best friend turned their muse and ended up matchmaking the two of them. It all started off with an innocent little FaceBook request. The good 'ol "Oh! That friend request was an accident" card. Who would've thought that three years later they'd be making plans to tie down to each other forever! It wasn't a very smooth three years for these two lovebirds. Never once were they ever in the same city during those dating years. Rohin was in Dubai and Minna kept moving from Maharashtra to Bangalore and plenty other places. "The distance made the meetings we made every six months even more special," says Minna. Rohin, of course had plans of his own to make the girl his at the end of the day. While during her time in Milan, Rohin along with their ‘muse’ and his better half decided to go meet her there and go on a Euro-trip while at it. The magic happened while during their time in Prague. It was on the Charles' Bridge, on the 28th of November, that Rohin went down on his knee in front of Minna and finally made the grand proposal.
Now you all must be wondering where the whole flood scene comes in yeah?
After the whole romantic proposal and all, the marriage was fixed to be held on 18th August, 2018. As you all might be aware this was the time that the Floods came on strong in Kerala. All the guests and friends who were from various parts of the world were enstranged and some couldn't even fly down for the wedding. The wedding was then postponed to the 23rd of August. But the guest count was drastically pulled down. That was the only setback according to Minna.
“It felt really bad that not all of our close friends or family could make it for our wedding. However, I am happy that we still managed to pull off our ceremonies in record time in the face of such a crisis. Our families stood by us through this challenging time, supporting us and ensuring everything went smoothly. They were our real heroes. A big shout out goes to our wedding team too. From the decor to our photography teams, they all stood by us and made one of the biggest days of our lives happen!”
And they came up with another plan, a cocktail party! For all those who couldn't attend the wedding, the newly weds kept a cocktail party on the 1st of September. And so, Minna and Rohin finally made their own fairytale come true!
